The Avicultural Society of W.A. (Inc.) was established in 1956. Since then it and its members have strived to improve the knowledge
and quality of birds in Western Australia and Australia. General Meetings and Open Days are held monthly and all members receive
the monthly magazine, The Western Australian Avicultural Magazine.
Our Objectives:
- To do all in our power to prevent any species of our native birds from becoming
extinct;
- Develop public
interest in all forms of bird life;
- To raise the standard of accommodation and care of birds kept in captivity by
members
and the public;
- To foster the study of bird physiology and ecology.
