Welcome to the Avicultural Society of WA Inc. Web Site

The Avicultural Society of WA was established in 1956. Since then, it and its members have strived to improve the knowledge and quality of birds in Western Australia and Australia. Meetings and Open Days are held monthly and all members recieve the monthly magazine, the Western Australian Aviculture Magazine. Visitors and new members are always welcome. Our Objectives:

a) To do all in its power to prevent any species of our native birds from becoming extinct;
b) Develop public interest in all forms of bird life;
c) To raise the standard of accommodation and care of birds kept in captivity by members and the public;
d) To foster the study of bird physiology and ecology.

General Meeting are held on the 2nd Monday of each month, from 8pm Forster Park Hall, Abernethy Rd Belmont.
Guest Speakers, Videos, Raffles and Supper. No Meeting in January.

Open Days are on the last Sunday of every month from 9am - 1pm,
Clubrooms, 112 Acton Ave, RivervaleWA. Birds for sale, raffle, BBQ & accessories. (No Open Day in December).
